The following lines were occasion'd by some unusual
proceedings on a certain side of the Atlantick, which may
perhaps be remembred by some yet living in that country, and
elsewhere:  I shall therefore offer them to you without any
further explanation; and remain,... Dic. burlesque.

  For want of Christian Settlement,
  Lay long o'erun with woods, and trees,
  And barb'rous tribes of salvages.
